Position Overview :We are seeking an experienced Android Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Android Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. Leveraging your expertise in Android development, you will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.Key Responsibilities :Android Application Development:- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin or Java programming languages.- Implement user interfaces, features, and functionalities based on project requirements and design specifications.- Ensure compatibility with different Android devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions.Code Quality and Testing :- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.- Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to validate application functionality and performance.- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Performance Optimization :- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and other optimization opportunities to improve application performance and responsiveness.- Optimize network calls, database queries, and resource utilization for better user experience.UI/UX Design Implementation:- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.- Ensure consistency in design elements, navigation patterns, and interaction behaviors across the application.Third-Party Integrations:- Integrate third-party libraries, APIs, and SDKs to add functionality and enhance the capabilities of the application.- Handle authentication, authorization, and data synchronization with external services securely.Version Control and Collaboration:- Use version control systems such as Git to manage source code and collaborate with team members.- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver integrated solutions.Qualifications and Experience :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.- 5-7 years of experience in Android application development, with a strong portfolio of published applications.- Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.- In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web services integration.- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
