Role Summary : The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing Membrane Chemical Applications technical expertise and supporting new product initiatives to assist the commercial & service teams in maintaining and growing utility chemicals business profitably in South Asia. Essential Functions: 1. Commercial Application Support Provide technical support for commercial team on Memchem applications at key customer sites. Develop action plans and drive execution to solve the toughest technical problems. Conduct echnical trainings for sales team; attend/support customer meetings or seminars and present technical information. Drive and support commercial deployment/launch of new products or technologies. 2. Product Management Support Must be willing and able to lead new product, technology, tools and development projects. Support or lead NPI (New Product Introduction) and DMP (Direct Material Productivity) initiatives as needed Stay abreast of new industry developments and competitive offerings; work with product management to develop and execute action and communication plans with the commercial teams. Support PM (Product Manager) to develop new applications growth areas through market research and commercial inputs; promote products and services to potential and existing customers. 3. Technical Leadership Act as a technical expert in Memchem Applications. Create and publish technical content for case histories, best practice, and external technical conferences or magazines. Qualifications /Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science (Chemistry/chemical or environmental preferred) 5+ years of Membrane Chemical applications experience, preferably exposure to multiple regions/ geography. Ability to travel domestically 25%-45% as required.
