Responsibilities :As the Associate Director of Quality Assurance (QA), you will play a critical role in leading our Software Quality Assurance team, the largest sub-department within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free products that delight our customers. Here's a detailed overview of your key responsibilities :Leadership and Team Management :- Lead and manage the Software Quality Assurance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the QA team.Quality Assurance Strategy and Execution :- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy to keep QA cycles fast and minimize the presence of bugs in our products.- Drive QA automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts in testing.- Guide the development of test frameworks and tools to improve automation coverage and effectiveness.Test Automation and Confidence Building :- Ensure that our automated test suites provide the necessary confidence to ship products quickly without regressions.- Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery processes.Best Practices and Resource Allocation :- Introduce and champion best-in-class Quality Assurance practices through QA Guild projects and initiatives.- Optimize QA resource allocation across teams to maximize efficiency and productivity.Collaboration and Process Improvement :- Collaborate closely with developers and engineering managers to identify and address any process inefficiencies or bottlenecks.- Work to streamline workflows, remove friction, and increase the overall efficiency of the QA team.Periodic Regression Testing :- Plan and execute periodic regression cycles independent of release cycles to ensure the stability and reliability of our products over time.Requirements :To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills :- Minimum of 9 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality software products.- Strong experience in developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks and strategies.- Expertise in QA automation, including the development of test frameworks and tools.- Ability to make sound technical decisions about the architecture and implementation of QA frameworks.- Proficiency in agile software development methodologies and practices.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Proven ability to drive change, foster innovation, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
