Job Description :We are looking for a seasoned AWS Migration Specialist to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in the successful migration of our on-premises applications and data to the AWS cloud.Key Skills (Must-Have) :7-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure management with a focus on cloud migration.Proven track record of leading and executing successful cloud migrations, including on-premises to AWS and AWS to AWS migrations.In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and migration services (e.g., AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)).Strong understanding of server and application migration strategies, including rehosting.Experience configuring and managing Windows operating systems.Familiarity with Database Administration (DBA) principles and practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Understanding of security controls from a cloud security perspective.Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.Experience working with mission-critical environments is a plus.Bonus Points :Experience working with AWS Managed Services (AMS).Experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices.Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or ProfessionalResponsibilities :Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing on-premises infrastructure and applications for migration suitability.Develop and implement comprehensive cloud migration plans based on best practices.Select and utilize appropriate AWS services to achieve optimal migration outcomes.Utilize AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and other relevant tools to facilitate efficient application migration.Configure and manage Windows environments in the AWS cloud.Partner with DBAs to migrate and manage databases in the AWS cloud.Work with application support and testing teams to ensure smooth application migration and post-migration support.Develop and implement security best practices for applications and data in the AWS cloud.Monitor and troubleshoot migration processes to ensure successful completion.Document migration processes and procedures for future reference.Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and migration best practices.
