Looking for a Backend Engineer for a Palo Alto, CA, US-based startup, setting up its development center in Bangalore. PreReq: MS / MTech - Computer Science - Tier 1 Institutes Only- We enable software development teams to effortlessly create functional test for microservices applications. First, we provide tools enabling engineers to easily create tests and debug microservices. Second, we capture and learn from real application usage to automatically backfill gaps in test coverage. - We enable engineering teams to spend most of their time in creating new functionality without having to worry about regressions. Our target market is SaaS companies and internal development teams that deliver business products where users have little tolerance for functional incorrectness.Responsibilities:- Building the foundational platform for gathering large amounts of data from applications.- Building a low latency engine for complex searches over large amounts of data.- Building the foundations of a complex data processing and machine learning technology.- Leveraging big data systems like Cassandra and Elastic for our data and query processing requirements.Qualification and Experience: - Depth of knowledge in computer science (e.g., a CS degree or extensive experience)- Extensive backend coding experience (Java) with 6 to 8 years Experience- Experience with the internals of a system (such as a database, web server, networking stack, etc.)- Highly desirable: Experience with Kubernetes / Istio, Kafka, distributed tracing infrastructure such as Zipkin / Jaeger- Strong sense of ownership and drive to deliver what is neededSample projects:- Learning templates for approximate matching based on historical data- Efficiently matching over large amounts of data- Infrastructure to capture requests/ responses using various formats and protocols such as HTTP, G-RPC, JDBC, etc- Architecting for multi-tenant scalable deployment.
