Bilingual-Project Manager Location: Chennai Project Manager / Program Manager Years of Experience: 8 to 15 Years Qualification: B.E/B.Tech, MCA, MSc, BSc In Computer Science or Equivalent course JLPT Level JLPT N3 and Above with good spoken Japanese skills (Mandatory) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Bilingual Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects involving Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders. You will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication and collaboration between teams, as well as overseeing the successful completion of projects within the established scope, timeline, and budget. Responsibilities: Project Planning and Coordination: • Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation. • Coordinate project activities, ensuring effective collaboration between cross-functional teams. • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies. • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders. Stakeholder Management: • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers. • Conduct regular communication to ensure all parties are informed of project status, milestones, and any changes. • Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations regarding project deliverables. Budget and Resource Management: • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting. • Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution. • Identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements. Risk Management: • Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. • Monitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing appropriate actions to minimize their impact. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards. Issue Management: • Experience in handling issues with analytical / critical thinking & problem solving skills. • Ability to handle conflicts among the stakeholders with empathy & good communication skills Job Description – Project Manager: • Ability to make decisions considering various factors such as project constraints, stakeholder interests & resource availability. Should able to understand different perspectives, mediate disputes & find mutually acceptable solutions that align with project goals Documentation and Reporting: • Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes. • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports to stakeholders. • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices. Technical Skills: • Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in any programming language like C, C++. Java, MS Technologies (VB, .NET etc.) or any equivalent technologies • Ability to think analytically and advise the team / customer to help resolving issues. • Ability to understand any technical concept and converse it in both English & Japanese fluently. • Possess interest in learning new technologies and a challenger. Mandatory Requirements: 1. Fluent in both Japanese and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages. 2. Proven experience in project management, preferably in a multicultural and bilingual environment. 3. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. 4. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. 6. Proficiency in project management tools and software. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: 1. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. 2. Experience working in a Japanese or multinational company. 3. Familiarity with Japanese business culture and practices.
