Position Title : Business AnalystSalary : 5 -12 LPA Industry : Information Technology (IT)Location : BengaluruMandatory Skills :- BI Tool, Data Visualization, SQL, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)Responsibilities :Requirements Gathering and Analysis :Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, user needs, and functional requirements for BI projects and initiatives.Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit and document business requirements, user stories, and use cases.Analyze complex datasets, business processes, and systems to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and drive business value.Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with project objectives, scope, and priorities.Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements, provide guidance, and validate solutions throughout the development lifecycle.Data Analysis and Visualization :Perform data analysis and modelling to support BI initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and visualization.Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate insights and findings effectively to stakeholders.Conduct ad hoc analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to answer business questions and uncover actionable insights from large and complex datasets.Project Management and Collaboration :Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables, ensuring that requirements are captured, documented, and delivered on time and within scope.Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to ensure alignment of requirements with technical solutions and business objectives.Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Requirements :Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Proven experience as a business analyst or related role in the field of business intelligence, data analysis, or software development.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and extract actionable insights.Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation; experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is a plus.Experience with business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) for data visualization and reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA) is desirable.
