Description :- Application development on Mainframe/CICS/Cobol.- Knowledge on various Mainframe based file system flatfile, VSAM etc.- Design of CICS programs/screens, batch and online program.- Familiarity with tools such as REXX, SyncSort, EZITRIVE etc.Skills Required : - Application development on Mainframe/CICS/COBOL. - Knowledge of various Mainframe-based file systems such as flat files, VSAM, etc. - Design of CICS programs/screens, batch, and online programs. - Familiarity with tools such as REXX, SyncSort, EZITRIVE, etc. Job Description : We are seeking a skilled COBOL Programmer to join our team. As a COBOL Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications on Mainframe systems. If you have experience in Mainframe development, particularly with COBOL, CICS, and associated tools, we would like to hear from you. Key Responsibilities :- Application Development: Develop and enhance applications on Mainframe systems using COBOL, CICS, and other related technologies. - File System Management : Work with various Mainframe-based file systems such as flat files, VSAM, etc., for data storage and retrieval. - Program Design : Design CICS programs/screens, batch processes, and online programs to meet business requirements. - Tool Utilization : Utilize tools such as REXX, SyncSort, EZITRIVE, etc., for efficient development and data manipulation tasks. - Code Maintenance : Maintain and troubleshoot existing COBOL programs, ensuring they function correctly and meet performance standards.- Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation related to program design, functionality, and usage. - Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, quality assurance, and system administrators to ensure smooth application deployment and operation. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in COBOL programming with a focus on Mainframe/CICS environments. - Strong understanding of Mainframe-based file systems and data structures. - Experience designing and implementing CICS programs/screens for both batch and online processing. - Familiarity with scripting languages such as REXX is a plus. - Proficiency in tools like SyncSort, EZITRIVE, or similar utilities. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
