Job Description: Controls Engineer is accountable for the design, test, validation ( On time, at cost and at quality) of superior control technologies focusing on load reducing features as well as performance enhancements features. The engineer is responsible for documenting the requirements, carrying out the control design activities using MATLAB/Simulink, generating PLC code, documenting test case, and validating the same in Hardware-in-the-Loop setup. Align to the software development process put forth by the organization. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain MATLAB-SIMULINK models Document functional requirement of the control system feature Design the controls features using MATLAB-SIMULINK Generate PLC code following auto code generation process Document test case for the controls feature Validate the controls feature in Software-in-Loop and Hardware-in-Loop setup to ensure quality and reliability of the developed models Drive innovative solutions in own area of responsibility. Collaborate within team and cross-functional teams effectively Identify and highlight development risks to team lead & Head of controls proactively, propose mitigation plan Communicate effectively and constructively with colleagues Adhere to software development processes established in the Controls organization Qualifications: 5-8 years of strong hands-on experience in Model Based Development with tools such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, Stateflow and Matlab scripting BE or B.Tech / M.E or M.Tech in Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent Working knowledge & hands on experience on PLC code generation Working knowledge of Software-in-Loop, Hardware-in-Loop validation setup Working knowledge of Controls theory, controls algorithms and dynamics Knowledge of Wind Turbine controls is an added advantage Must have experience in co-development of technologies with clients Problem solving skills, ability to demonstrate the concept effectively Excellent collaboration and communication skill Powered by JazzHR
