Overview : We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Python/Django Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in developing and maintaining scalable web applications using Python and the Django framework, with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in building efficient and high-performance solutions. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using Python and Django. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features. - Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. - Integrate applications with databases such as PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and efficiency. - Utilize message broker services like RabbitMQ and task queue systems like Celery to build asynchronous and distributed systems. - Implement and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between different systems and services.- Apply DevOps practices and tools to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. - Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to coding best practices and standards. - Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in the production environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Python and Django development. Requirements : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 5 to 8 years of professional experience in developing web applications using Python and Django. - Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its ecosystem.- Deep understanding of the Django framework, its components, and best practices. - Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and knowledge of database design and optimization techniques. - Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ and task queue systems like Celery for building distributed and asynchronous systems. - Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.- Experience with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Familiarity with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its services. - Understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring development teams.- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with Django REST Framework and building RESTful APIs. - Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Familiarity with caching mechanisms like Redis for optimizing application performance. - Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. - Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the Python and Django communities. - Certification in Microsoft Azure or other relevant cloud platforms.
