THIS IS A ROLE FOR A FASHION HOUSE BASED IN KOLKATAAs a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing our data ecosystem and ensuring the seamless flow of data for informed decision-making. Leveraging your expertise in Excel, Power Query, and SQL, you will transform data from multiple sources into a common format and maintain data integrity. Your role will be crucial in supporting the development of Power BI dashboards and providing actionable insights to various departments within the organization.Responsibilities:1. Data Transformation:- Utilize Excel and Power Query to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.- Implement data modelling techniques to ensure data consistency and standardization.2. Data Pipeline Development:- Design and maintain robust data pipelines to facilitate efficient data processing and management.- Optimize data workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.3. Collaboration:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.- Support the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards by providing clean and structured data sets.4. Troubleshooting:- Provide support in troubleshooting data-related issues and resolving technical challenges.- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and SQL for data transformation and manipulation.- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
