Role Overview :As a Data Migration Specialist within the insurance industry in the UK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless migration of data from Azure SQL to Salesforce platform. This position demands a strong technical acumen in Azure SQL along with exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders including Business Analysts (BAs) based in London, project managers, and the insurance company's integration partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire data migration process, ensuring data integrity, and facilitating smooth communication between all parties involved.Key Responsibilities :Data Migration Planning and Execution : Lead the planning and execution of data migration activities from Azure SQL to Salesforce platform.Technical Expertise : Demonstrate proficiency in Azure SQL to efficiently extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Salesforce.Stakeholder Communication : Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders including BAs, project managers, and integration partners, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the migration process.Data Integrity and Quality Assurance : Implement measures to maintain data integrity during migration and conduct thorough quality assurance checks to validate the accuracy of migrated data.Issue Resolution : Identify and address any technical issues or challenges encountered during the migration process in a timely manner, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to find effective solutions.Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, including migration plans, technical specifications, and issue logs. Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders and project teams.Required Skills and Qualifications :Proficiency in Azure SQL : Extensive experience working with Azure SQL databases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Salesforce Migration Experience : Previous experience in migrating data to Salesforce platform would be highly advantageous.Strong Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.Project Management Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines.Analytical Thinking : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues during data migration.Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
