Description:
Role : SQL Database AdministratorsResponsibilities :- Manage SQL and MySQL Server databases (should be a combo of both), through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.- Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.- Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.- Provide support for critical production systems.- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.- Manage SQL Server databases.- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.- Configure and maintain database servers and processes.- Experience in Migration from SQL server Lower version to upgraded version.- Experience in applying service packs and patches.- Monitor system's health and performance.- Creating DB maintenance plans, rebuild/reorganize indexes & performing integrity checks.- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time.- Provide suggestions for solutions.- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.Technical and Professional Requirements :- Bachelors degree in computer engineering or computer science.- 2 to 18 years of experience as a SQL Server and MY SQL Server Database Administration with excellent proven skills.- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL and MySQL Server.- Ability to work independently on Windows server, including Active Directory.- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success.- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.- Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality.- Ability to organize, plan and work independently in a rapidly changing environment.- Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
