Our team Product Engineering S/4HANA PLM develops innovations that e nables our customers have to deliver new products more frequently and adapt product changes more quickly, while the complexity of products rises. It becomes essential to establish efficient end-2-end processes for the product lifecycle management, from the design with the authoring to the integration into the relevant SAP products data with full traceability to serve the down-stream processes as manufacturing. We’re looking for a motivated and talented Developer, who wants to join us on our exciting journey to create SAP´s digital thread and PLM solution. You will make sure that we develop a connected data flow and integrated view of the product data throughout its lifecycle across traditionally siloed functional perspectives. A sophisticated change management is a key aspect of this solution, which helps to plan, to manage and to document those changes. While coding will be your core task, developing software at SAP is much more than just that. It’s a team effort, including designing our products for the end user/customers, delivering our services efficiently and fast, in time and in quality. What you’ll do: Understand concepts, specifications and high-level design, product architecture and suggest improvements and changes wherever necessary. Implement design using appropriate technology, ensuring high quality through test-driven-development, peer reviews, manual and automated unit tests. Self-learn new technologies and apply those in the product development in an integrated fashion. Shall work with Architect very closely and support him in technical design or provide design concept to team in close collaboration with Architect. Work independently for technical concepts and does not solely on architect. Work with teams across organizational and geographical boundaries to design and develop the state-of-the-art architecture for SAP applications in S/4 HANA and cloud. Ensure High quality standards of the product. Author/Contribute to detailed design specifications and lead reviews to conform to software development processes. What you bring : Master/ bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related 5+ years of experience in professional software development, preferably within a scrum team Very good software development skills in ABAP, Java and JavaScript, Exposure to UI5, Fiori, SAP BTP, BOPF, Draft, RAP, ODATA. Eager to write high quality code and are familiar with agile development methods. Passionate about applying your analytical skills to crack “hard nuts” and step out of your comfort zone if needed. Collaboration skills to work with others and sharing your knowledge and ideas. Desirous to take responsibility for organizing and developing yourself. Detailed knowledge of the PLM core processes is and added advantage.
