JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): DLP Manager (EN-VA-06_001) PURPOSE OF THE JOB The DLP Manager is responsible for the management and successful completion of the DLP activities related to a railway signaling subsystem (e.g. IXL, ATC, DCS, ...). This is must be achieved following project strategy, company policies (including EHS, railway safety, local regulation and professional standard) and project QCD targets. Regional Centre / Project Engineering or Field Operation Reports directly to: Project T&C Manager (PrCOM)/DLP Portfolio Manager Other reporting to: None Direct reports: T&C Engineers and Technicians Network & Links (Internal) Project Installation Manager Project T&C Manager (PrCOM) Project V&V manager Project Warranty Manager Project EHS Manager / Coordinator Project Engineering Domain Leaders External Customer a/o Operator Subcontractors if present MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Key Accountabilities The DLP Manager is responsible, by delegation of the PrCOM, of the maintenance of the signalling sub system. Organize DLP activities (Planning, Access, Resources allocation, documentation). Check compliance of Signaling systems in relation to system specification documents and contractual requirements. Independently, apply extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements for the related sub-system Develop DLP procedures based on defined specifications to meet contractual requirements. Interface with Engineering and site subsystem leaders for optimizing RCA timelines and to find the solutions to the issues identified during DLP phase. Provide technical leadership to individuals or teams for tools, procedure and in resolving problems Lead or participate in technical discussions for subsystem directly with customer and represents / protects the company’s interest Report on a regular basis to the Project T&C and Engg Manager on progress and issues and expected timelines. Report on the anomalies arising during DLP Phase and interfaces with engineering and site team towards to close the anomaly Ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context Proactive towards development of resources competency to other T&C team members Guarantee that Alstom meets its DLP obligation. Performance Measurement Collaboration with Engg and Site team and resolution of site defects and closure of RCAs. Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting Savings through risks anticipation and mitigation Team Management MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Master/Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience. Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken) Desirable: Any other additional language is an asset Experience Mandatory: 10+ years of experience in T&C or V&V activities for signaling projects Deep knowledge of one or more signaling subsystems (Ex On Board, ATS/IXL, Communication, Wayside) Interface with V&V, Design, Installation stakeholders. Previous experience of approx 5 years in managing DLP in signalling project. Desirable: Previous DLP and team management skills Knowledge of ALSTOM rules and processes Quality, EHS and Railway safety Competencies & Skills Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries Available to work on field also for night shifts Rigorous & team player Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures Customer satisfaction and results orientated Ability to use new technologies and tools Driving License You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
