Description:
Overview :We are seeking a skilled and experienced HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HIL testing methodologies, particularly within the Powertrain domain. Proficiency in Python scripting is preferred, along with a solid understanding of the Automotive domain and expertise in C language. As an HIL Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our automotive systems through rigorous testing procedures.Key Responsibilities :Develop and execute HIL test plans and test cases to validate automotive control systems, focusing primarily on Powertrain components.Configure and maintain HIL test benches and related hardware, ensuring optimal functionality and accuracy throughout testing processes.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance personnel to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Design and implement automated test scripts using Python to streamline testing procedures and improve efficiency.Analyze test results and debug issues to identify root causes and propose effective solutions, working closely with development teams to implement necessary fixes.Continuously optimize HIL testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall testing effectiveness and efficiency.Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HIL testing technologies, incorporating relevant innovations into our testing practices.Document test procedures, results, and findings thoroughly, maintaining clear and organized records for reference and future analysis.Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of test artifacts and processes.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Proven experience in HIL testing within the Automotive domain, with a focus on Powertrain systems.Strong proficiency in Python scripting; experience with C language is highly desirable.Familiarity with HIL testing tools such as dSPACE, National Instruments (NI), or similar platforms.Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.Experience with SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) and MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) testing is a plus.Additional Information :This position offers opportunities for professional growth and career advancement within our dynamic and innovative organization.Flexible work hours and remote work options may be available, depending on project requirements and team preferences.
