Primary skills : - Teradata SYSDBA skills required which include : Performance tuning Capacity Management Workload Management (TASM) UAM/IAM must be thorough Teradata architecture and concepts like partitions indexes (PI & SI) skewness statistics gathering and managing different types of stats collection other DBA concepts etc. third party tools management and overview knowledge on Data mover TPT AWTs knowledge on control-m is favorable working knowledge of TD16 and TD17.- Knowledge on Teradata TTU 2.- Working with Scrum JIRA confluence code management (DEVOPS) 3.- Knowledge on Linux & shell scripting to perform DBA tasks on linux platforms.- Knowledge on backend DBA commands- Knowledge on DBA catalogue tables (query log tables DBQL tables PDCR tables etc).- Query bands 7.- BAR (Backup and Archival and Restore) 8.- Managing outages 9.- Concepts of PROD DR and non-prod 10.- Managing process and compute via t-cores.- Taking care of platform production support issues. Secondary skills : - Cloud knowledge (Teradata Vantage if possible and/or GCP and AWS) - Knowledge on reporting tools to depict various kinds of platform aspects via reporting.- Worked on automation and self services concepts.- Good communication skills.- Must be able to gather requirements articulate and resolve problems and communicate with stakeholders independently. - Individual should be self motivated and self driven.- Able to take things to closure independently.- Open to learn new concepts and take up additional responsibilities.- Experience required is 8+ years.
