About the Role :We are seeking a talented and passionate Java Developer with a strong understanding of observability principles to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions to monitor and analyze our software applications. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of development and operations, ensuring the health and performance of our critical systems.Responsibilities :- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC to manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for observability features.- This includes planning, prioritizing, testing, and releasing code.- Design, develop, integrate, and document a variety of software observability tools using RESTful API design patterns.- The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with REST API frameworks.- Collaborate closely with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) and DevOps teams to configure and customize metric exporters, dashboards, and other observability components to align with specific business needs.- Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by understanding business requirements related to observability and translating them into actionable technical solutions.- Provide technical support and expertise in observability to ensure system reliability and performance.- This may involve troubleshooting issues and identifying areas for improvement.- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our overall observability practices and system reliability.Mandatory Skills :- Strong Java development skills with in-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC.- Solid understanding of RESTful API design patterns and their application in observability tools.- Experience working with monitoring tools (a valid certification in Java, Python, or a specific monitoring tool is a plus).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Effective communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
