Job Description : The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for various aspects of a global Salesforce instance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, taking part in the build, deployment, and support of all processes across the Salesforce.com technology suite across the 3M environment. This position requires knowledge of the 3M platform, development processes, and implementing global IT applications. The applicant will need to collaborate with onsite and offsite teams to ensure proper delivery of solutions. An understanding of marketing and sales processes is expected of the applicant. The Salesforce developer will understand the complexity of our systems, how to integrate Salesforce into 3M systems, and help with deployment activities. The developer will be responsible for participating in daily scrum calls, leveraging the knowledge of Salesforce components to solve complex technical problems, develop new functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure fast performance of the Salesforce.com website.Requirements :Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Minimum 3 years of development and/or functional experience on the Salesforce Platform in a private, public, government, or military environment.An in-depth understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the Salesforce platform is required.Strong technical foundation: advanced structured programming (APEX, Force.com, Net, Java), relational database concepts and structures, structured system analysis and design methods, etc.Understands web services and other technologies that can be used to transport data in an enterprise environment and interact with Salesforce.Certified Salesforce Developer and Advanced Developer are preferred.To perform in this role, the candidate should have a good understanding of these Salesforce concepts :Data ModelingData ManagementLightning Experience CustomizationReports and DashboardsFormulas and ValidationsData SecurityUser ManagementPicklist AdministrationAppExchange Basics/InstallationsExternal Services ConnectionLightning App BuilderFlow Builder - Screen, Auto-launched, Scheduled, and Record-Triggered FlowsApex Basics and DatabaseVisual Force pagesSOQLWorkbenchApex TriggersAsynchronous ApexApex Integration ServicesApex TestingFind and Fix Bugs with Apex Replay DebuggerLightning Design System BasicsPlatform API BasicsLightning Web Components - Basics and TroubleshootingIn addition to the above, additional knowledge in the following areas would be a plus :CommunitiesKnowledge configurationService CloudOmni channel and skills :Good judgment, and decision-making skills to objectively understand an issue and negotiate a resolution.Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver results in a high-pressure, high-profile environment.Proven ability to identify, focus, and own, high-priority tasks to manage delivery to project timelines.Willingness to travel when required.
