Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Administrator and Storage Management Specialist to join our IT team. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our Linux infrastructure, managing storage solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our critical systems. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in Linux administration, scripting, storage management, and security to support a dynamic and growing environment.Responsibilities :- Manage and maintain a robust Linux environment, including Red Hat, CentOS, Debian, and other distributions.- Perform system administration tasks such as user and group management, package installation and configuration, and system optimization.- Implement and manage Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions to meet the organization's data storage needs.- Possess a deep understanding of storage management concepts, including RAID configurations, file systems, and data protection strategies.- Demonstrate expertise in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python to automate routine tasks and enhance efficiency.- Manage and troubleshoot common Linux services like DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.- Secure Linux systems by implementing and maintaining SELinux policies and hardening procedures.- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware) and backup solutions (e.g. Veeam, Bacula) is a plus.- Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software and queue management software is a considered a significant advantage.Qualifications :- 8-10 years of experience as a Linux Administrator with a proven track record of success in managing complex Linux environments.- In-depth knowledge of Linux administration tools, commands, scripting languages, and best practices.- Solid understanding of storage area networks (SANs) and storage management concepts (RAID, file systems, data protection).- Familiarity with various Linux distributions, including Red Hat, CentOS, and Debian.- Expertise in at least one scripting language (Shell, Perl, or Python) to automate tasks.- Experience in managing and troubleshooting key network services like DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.- Strong understanding of Linux security principles and experience with SELinux.- Experience with virtualization technologies and backup solutions is a plus.- Knowledge of EDA software and queue management software is a highly desirable advantage.- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other IT team members.- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
