Description:
Job Description :We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Developer to join our team.The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in Mainframe application development, particularly with CA Gen modeling, COBOL development, CICS development, and database design.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Mainframe applications to meet the business requirements.Responsibilities :- Utilize CA Gen modeling tools to design and develop Mainframe applications according to business requirements.- Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs for Mainframe applications.- Design and implement CICS modules for online transaction processing.- Collaborate with database administrators to design and optimize Mainframe databases.- Support both online and batch operations, ensuring smooth functioning of Mainframe applications.- Utilize Endevor for version control and code management.- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews as part of Agile development practices.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development.- Proficiency in CA Gen modeling tools for application development.- Strong expertise in COBOL programming language.- Experience in developing and debugging CICS modules.- Solid understanding of database design principles and experience with Mainframe databases.- Experience with Endevor or similar version control tools.- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
