JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): EN-IM-01 Maintenance Manager TELECOM PURPOSE OF THE JOB Support the Project Manager during Defect liability period(DLP) and maintenance contract of a Signaling OR Telecom as per the contract. Involve in Preventive as well as corrective maintenance Day to day signaling failure reporting to the concerned department. Update tickets opening and closure at site on Asset Management tool Once a solutionis defined , implement at the site. ORGANISATION Organization structure (job belongs to..) Regional Centre / Project Engineering or Field Operation Reports directly to: Service Project Manager Other reporting to: Service Head Direct reports: Service Engineers & Technicians Network & Links Internal Maintenance Project Manager Project Core team members Service teams External Customer External Suppliers. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Telecom maintenance manager has to be familiar with COMM systems Follows a pre-defined maintenance schedule as applicable Prepare failures and intervention report. Closely work with the customer O&M team to attend any anomaly during the DLP period. Collect failure data from the O&M team. Checks failure cards /gears on test bench as a double check Faulty material reporting and send for repair and return back to site. Attending Punch points along with the site team. Worked with operations and maintenance of Telecommunication, Demonstrable ability to build close relationships with clients, subcontractor, OEMs, focusing in realizing. Supervise and inspect all site telecommunications preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the system operational as per the Schedule & Site Specific. Perform inspections to ensure compliance with the safety policies and procedures and approved work methods. Extensive understanding of Technologies and Systems; PAS- PIS, Train Onboard system, CCTV Systems, Voice and Data Networks, SDH, Fiber Optic Networks, IP Networks, Access Control Systems, Telephony EPABX, SCADA, PLC, RTU, and WIFI etc . Experience of Telecom Metro Rail System interface with other metro systems SCADA, Rolling Stock, ATC, AFC, MEPS, CIVIL, TVS, PSD, Depot Equipment and Operation Control Center. Mange Contract KPI to meet the contractual requirement with Client, Involved in technical Meeting. Provide clear visibility and adequate documents to assist Maintenance Team and Project Managers (Calculations, technical reports, BOQ, Variation orders, Claims, reporting, etc.) Ensure the compatibility with the standards of health & safety, Technical open issues resolution, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure, Support and coordinate the Telecom activities Ensure contact with the client and/or consortium representatives for the telecom sub-system definition Testing and Inspection: Perform rigorous testing and inspections on systems covered by maintenance agreements to maintain peak performance Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond promptly to system issues, conducting troubleshooting and executing repairs to restore optimal functionality MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements: Engineering Diploma/Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation Mandatory: Engineering Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer science Desirable: Engineering Degree in Electronics& Communication /Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer science Experience 8+years in Signaling / Telecom Mandatory: He should have minimum 8 +years of railway Telecom experience in testing and commissioning , troubleshooting etc . Desirable: Knowledge of Installation / testing and commissioning/Maintenance of Telecom system. Knowledge of preventive maintenance/corrective maintenance of any safety critical system.
