Title : Moodle DeveloperLocation : Mumbai/PuneContract : 6 monthsMoodle Developer :- Strong implementation knowledge of Moodle 4.0+- Should have a proven track record in developing Plugins and themes- Good in building responsive layouts- Capability in writing test cases- It is good to have exposure to third-party API integration. (SIS Banner, Salesforce, etc...)- Understanding of GCP cloud services (Good to have)We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Moodle Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Moodle 4.0+ implementation, plugin and theme development, and a keen eye for responsive design. The candidate should also have experience in writing test cases and ideally, some exposure to third-party API integrations and GCP cloud services. Key Responsibilities :Moodle Implementation : - Develop and maintain Moodle 4.0+ based applications. Customize and configure Moodle instances to meet organizational requirements. - Upgrade and migrate existing Moodle systems to the latest versions. Plugin and Theme Development : - Design, develop, and maintain custom Moodle plugins and themes. - Ensure that plugins and themes are developed following Moodles coding standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Moodle plugins with other systems. Responsive Layouts : - Build and maintain responsive layouts that ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and browsers. - Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies to enhance Moodles user interface. Testing and Quality Assurance : - Write and maintain comprehensive test cases for Moodle applications and components. - Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues. Ensure that all Moodle developments are secure, scalable, and high-performing. Third-Party API Integration (Preferred) :- Integrate Moodle with third-party systems such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Salesforce, etc. Develop and maintain API connections ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Cloud Services (Good to Have) : - Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for Moodle deployment and management. Implement cloud-based solutions to enhance Moodles scalability and performance. Required Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4 to 5 years of proven experience in Moodle development, particularly with Moodle 4.0+. - Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.- Proven track record in developing Moodle plugins and themes.- Experience in creating responsive web designs. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills :- Experience with third-party API integrations (e.g., SIS Banner, Salesforce). - Understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.Experience Level : 4+ Years (ref:hirist.tech)
