Experience Level : 7-10 yearsSkills Required :Network Security : Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing network security solutions to protect organizational assets from internal and external threats.Firewalls and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) : Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g. Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks) and IDS/IPS systems to monitor and mitigate security breaches.Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) : Strong understanding and experience in implementing and managing VPN solutions to establish secure communication channels for remote access and site-to-site connectivity.Security Protocols : Knowledge of security protocols such as IPsec, SSL/TLS, SSH, and HTTPS.Network Devices and Protocols : Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, load balancers) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP) to ensure secure network communication.Network Access Control (NAC) : Experience with NAC solutions to enforce security policies and control access to the network based on device health and user identity.Vulnerability Management : Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and management tools to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure.Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) : Experience with SIEM solutions to collect, correlate, and analyze security event logs for detecting and responding to security incidents.Incident Response : Knowledge of incident response procedures and methodologies to effectively respond to security incidents and minimize their impact.Regulatory Compliance : Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and industry standards (e.g ISO 27001) related to network security.Responsibilities :- Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure to protect organizational assets from cyber threats.- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to ensure secure network communication and access control.- Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and security breaches using security monitoring tools and techniques.- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and standards in network design and configuration.- Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures, and documentation.- Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.- Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to continuously improve network security posture.- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the network security team.
