We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 to 7 years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Key Responsibilities : Database Management : - Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.- Create and manage Oracle database instances, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.- Implement and maintain database security, including user management and data encryption.Performance Tuning and Optimization : - Monitor database performance and conduct regular tuning to ensure optimal performance.- Analyze and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization and resource management.- Implement and manage indexing strategies to improve database performance.Backup and Recovery : - Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.- Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.- Manage and maintain Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) for efficient backup and recovery operations.Data Migration and Integration : - Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.- Integrate Oracle databases with other systems and applications as required.- Utilize data replication and ETL tools to support data integration needs.Database Security and Compliance : - Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.Automation and Scripting : - Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine database tasks.- Utilize tools and scripts to monitor and manage database environments efficiently.Collaboration and Communication : - Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to support database-related needs.- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database issues.- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.Required Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- 4 to 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and best practices.- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming.- Experience with Oracle backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.- Knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.- Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and RAC (Real Application Clusters).- Experience with database security and compliance requirements.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Location : Bangalore (ref:hirist.tech)
