Oracle Developer - Banner Student Information System (5-7 yrs) Bangalore

Description:
We are looking for an Oracle Developer with Banner CIS experience. Development activities will include writing and maintaining a combination of Oracle Forms 12c, Oracle Reports 12, SQL, PL/SQL, Pro-C, and Pro-COBOL in an Oracle 12c database environment.Responsibilities :- Programming in a Windows and a Unix environment- Assignments will include changes to a Banner CIS product (version 3.1+), add on applications to Banner CIS, and interface programming in batch and online systems.- Estimate assigned work effort and be accountable for deliverables and completion dates- Analyze, review and modify programs to increase operating efficiency- Follow and improve established software delivery lifecycles, programming standards and frameworks- Development includes new product investment initiatives and client-requested custom modifications and enhancements- Participate in peer-review requirements and design- Clarify business requirements by working with business analysts and end users; create high-level and detailed design specifications to address user goals; formulate plans - outlining steps required to develop programs for design deliverables- Ability to adapt in an environment that demands customer satisfaction- Ability to provide 24x7 (Tier 3) production application supportEssential Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Functional :- Familiarity navigating UNIX environments (AIX is a plus) and using basic UNIX utilities- Editors : vi or emacs- Utilities : awk, diff, find, grep, sed, tar.- Experience developing UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh)- Pro-C (or C/C++)- Pro-COBOL (or rudimentary understanding of COBOL syntax)- 5+ years Oracle development experience- Developing and maintaining PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, and triggers) that contains complex queries and performs extensive file I/O- Oracle Forms- Oracle Reports is a plus- Oracle IDEs: SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or T.O.A.D.- Understanding of application business processes and how they can be improved through application of technology- Banner CIS experience is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
