About the Role : We are seeking a highly motivated Monitoring and Alerting Engineer (or alternative title) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the health, performance, and availability of our IT infrastructure and applications. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools, cloud technologies, and scripting languages to design, implement, and maintain robust monitoring solutions.Responsibilities :Monitoring and Alerting Expertise :- Possess 5-10 years of experience in monitoring and alerting tools, with a strong focus on Datadog and Solarwinds.- Experience with Python coding for scripting and automation tasks related to monitoring is essential.- In-depth understanding of enterprise observability best practices for proactive problem identification and resolution.Monitoring Strategies :- Implement real-time user monitoring solutions to identify and troubleshoot user experience issues.- Configure synthetic monitoring tools to proactively detect performance bottlenecks and infrastructure problems.- Design and implement application performance monitoring (APM) strategies to ensure optimal application health.Alert Management :- Develop and maintain effective alerting workflows to ensure timely notification of critical events and potential issues.- Utilize data analysis skills to identify root causes of issues and troubleshoot problems efficiently.Technology Stack :- Proven experience working with Datadog and Solarwinds for infrastructure and application monitoring.- Experience with other monitoring tools like Microsoft SCOM, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Splunk is a plus.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B. Tech), Computer Science (MCA), or a related field is required.Additional Skills :- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.- Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform is a plus.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with IT operations and development teams.
