Job Description :As a Performance Test Engineer with 4+ years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications and services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, executing, and analyzing performance tests using various tools and methodologies. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience with performance testing tools, and expertise in analyzing performance metrics and test results.Key Responsibilities :Performance Testing : - Design, develop, and execute performance tests for custom services using load generating tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and SOAP UI across multiple protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, REST).CI/CD and Cloud Environments : - Experience working in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments and cloud-based infrastructures and applications.- Adapt performance testing processes to fit within Agile development workflows.Performance Test Scripting : - Script performance tests using appropriate scripting languages (e.g., C, Java, VB macros) to simulate realistic user behavior and load scenarios.- Customize scripts using SQL, shell scripts, or other scripting languages as needed.Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) Analysis : - Analyze non-functional requirements (NFRs) and perform volumetric analysis to determine performance test scenarios and workload models.Performance Tuning and Optimization : - Understand Java/JVM architecture, garbage collection (GC), class loading, thread dumps, and database analysis (Oracle, SQL Server) to identify and resolve performance issues.Monitoring and Profiling : - Use Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as HP Diagnostics, CA Wily, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics to monitor and profile application stacks.- Analyze server and application metric data to identify performance bottlenecks.Performance Test Result Analysis : - Accurately analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks and issues.- Communicate findings in both technical and business language to stakeholders and recommend performance improvement strategies.Tool Support : - Provide support for performance testing tools such as Fiddler, Firebug, HAR, and Lighthouse.- Use these tools for additional analysis and debugging during performance testing.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 4+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering roles.- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.- Hands-on experience with load generating tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and SOAP UI.- Proficiency in scripting languages like C, Java, VB macros, and shell scripts for test customization and automation.- Knowledge of SQL for database querying and analysis.- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and cloud-based infrastructures.- Understanding of Java/JVM architecture, garbage collection, and database analysis.- Experience with APM tools for monitoring and profiling application stacks.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Preferred Qualification :- Certification in performance testing tools or methodologies (e.g., ISTQB Performance Testing Certification).- Experience with supporting performance testing tools such as Fiddler, Firebug, HAR, and Lighthouse.- Pune (ref:hirist.tech)
