Overview : Recrud, a leader in tech recruitment, is actively seeking a Principal Backend Engineer for its prestigious client in the fintech sector. This role demands a visionary professional capable of shaping the backbone of financial technologies. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development, with at least seven years of experience, preferably within the fintech industry.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend systems that handle large volumes of transactions.- Lead architectural decisions and provide guidance on best practices in backend development.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve holistic business goals.- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.- Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.- Document development phases and monitor systems.- Identify, assess, and solve complex, technical problems with robust, sustainable solutions.- Lead by example in code and overall development practices, setting a high bar for other engineers.Qualifications :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Minimum of 7 years of experience in backend development, with hands-on expertise in using modern programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, or Go.- Proven track record of developing high-scale, secure, and reliable software systems.- Extensive experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database management.- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.- Knowledge of financial systems and regulatory environments is highly desirable.- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
