Position Summary :As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be interacting with various teams to understand their requirements and design and implement processes and automation to fulfil those requirements efficiently. You will set up build and release pipelines and also work on building environments on Azure/AWS with high availability. On the DevOps team, you will get a chance to experiment with different tools and technologies and choose the ones suitable for our use cases. You will often be developing custom tools to cater to our unique and specific needs. You will be interacting with different teams to identify inefficiencies in tasks and processes and find ways to eliminate those.Responsibilities :- Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.- Automation: Implement and maintain automated processes for building, testing, and deploying software to streamline the development pipeline.- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, integration, and deployment of applications, ensuring faster and more reliable releases.- Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure and establish logging mechanisms for effective troubleshooting.- Configuration Management: Manage and maintain configuration settings for different environments, ensuring consistency and reducing configuration drift.- Scalability and Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance and ensure scalability by identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the deployment and operation of software systems, including disaster recovery planning.- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.- Problem Resolution: Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and application performance.Qualifications :- 8- 10 years of experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field - Strong expertise in DevOps tools and technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and others.- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Scripting and programming skills, often with languages like Python, Bash, Ruby, or PowerShell.- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.- Previous roles in system administration, network management, or software development can be beneficial.- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators.- Understanding of security best practices and the ability to integrate security measures into the DevOps pipeline.- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) can be advantageous.
