Description:
We are searching for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend software development using solid server-side technologies including TypeScript, Postgres, and Docker/Kubernetes deployment. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining critical software applications, ensuring their scalability, performance, and security.Key Responsibilities : - Software Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-quality server side applications using Python and TypeScript. - Code Review : Participate in and conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver exceptional solutions. - Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices. - Performance Optimization : Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues in the software. - Security : Implement security best practices and conduct regular security assessments to protect our software from vulnerabilities. - Testing : Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to maintain high software quality standards. - Documentation : Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation. - Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and challenges. Requirements : - Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Javascript/Typescript and Docker/Kubernetes. - Proficiency with database technologies, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB - Experience with building server-side applications and design & development of REST and GraphQL APIs. - Experienced with in-memory databases such as Redis, memcached - Experienced with logging and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana etc. - Experienced with unit, integration and end-to-end testing frameworks and tools such as PyUnit, Jest, Mocha, Chai, Selenium - Strong concern to accessibility, security compliance and performance - User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments - Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system - Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Experience working remotely (constant communication, self-starter, solid git commit habits, supporting/empowering others, etc.) - Good contribution towards any of the open source projects will be a great plus.
