Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights by designing, developing, and deploying robust BI solutions that empower data-driven decision making across the organization.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a BI Developer or a similar role.Technical Skills:Data Warehousing and Integration:- In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design principles and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.- Proficiency in data warehousing platforms like Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Informatica PowerCenter, or similar tools.- Experience with data modeling techniques for dimensional modeling and data quality management.Data Analysis and Visualization:- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify insights.- Expertise in creating compelling and interactive data visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.- Understanding of data storytelling principles to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.Database Management:- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and proficiency in querying languages like SQL (Structured Query Language).- Experience working with various relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).Scripting and Automation:- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, T-SQL, or Jython for automating data manipulation and ETL tasks.APIs and Integrations:- Experience with integrating BI solutions with other enterprise applications using APIs or web services.Bonus Points:- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake).- Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) (a plus).- Experience with data governance and security best practices.- Knowledge of data mining and machine learning concepts (a plus).- Experience with Agile development methodologies.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Responsibilities:- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and reporting needs.- Design and develop data warehouse models to support efficient data storage and retrieval.- Develop and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into the data warehouse.- Create and maintain complex data transformations and data cleansing routines.- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools.- Implement data security measures and access controls.- Automate routine tasks using scripting and automation tools.- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.- Document data models, reports, and ETL processes.- Train and support end-users on BI tools and data analysis concepts.- Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies and best practices.
