Summary :A Senior Engineering Lead/Engineering Manager specializing in MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) platforms is responsible for overseeing technical teams and ensuring the successful delivery of projects using these technologies. This role involves project planning, team management, code review, technical direction, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate should possess a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills, and have the ability to adopt new technologies and best development practices.Roles and Responsibilities :Team Leadership :- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to engineers working with MERN technologies.- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.Project Management :- Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and task prioritization.- Ensure successful delivery of projects.Technical Oversight :- Review code and architectural decisions.- Ensure adherence to best practices within the MERN stack.Collaboration :- Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and product managers.Recruitment and Onboarding :- Participate in the hiring process.- Interview candidates and onboard new team members.Performance Management :- Conduct performance evaluations.- Set goals and provide constructive feedback to team members.Stakeholder Communication :- Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to stakeholders, including top management.Continuous Improvement :- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovations, and knowledge sharing within the team.Risk Management :- Identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact project delivery or product quality.Stay Updated :- Keep abreast of the latest developments in MERN technologies and industry trends.- Ensure the team remains competitive and innovative.Required Experience & Skills :Professional Experience :- 10-12 years of total professional experience.- 5+ years of experience leading development teams of 20-25 resources.Technical Proficiency :- Hands-on experience as a MEAN/MERN Developer.- Proficient in agile application development methodology.- Strong understanding of the Jira tool.- Built at least one customer-facing application from scratch.- Experience in building micro-services architecture-based applications.- Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented JavaScript (OOJS), JavaScript libraries, and their practical uses in building complex interactive experiences.Education Qualification : B-Tech/BE/MCALocation : Gurgaon (ref:hirist.tech)
