Job Summary :Role Summary :Responsible for actively resolving the technology needs of the business with a focus on gathering requirements and performing complex systems and process analysis, testing, design, and prototyping. Facilitate business performance optimization by ensuring the alignment between business processes and information technology. Develop plans and/or recommendations to integrate new and existing standards, methodologies and/or processes for assigned systems. Provide project management to ensure projects and/or application releases are successfully implemented according to business requirements and system standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Key Activities :Requirements Analysis & Review :- Provide business process reviews and/or recommendations to ensure processes and systems meet changing business conditions. - Identify and analyze gaps between current processes and desired state and document processing requirements to ensure the integrity of processes or system functionality.Process and System Design and integration :- Perform analysis of processes and software capabilities including complex system process analysis, design and prototyping. - Develop alternative design solutions; advise on options, risks, cost versus benefits and impact on other business processes and system priorities. - Provide expertise in application capabilities and design optimal and efficient solutions to meet user requirements and ensure solutions maintain system integrity.- Prepare test objectives and validate process and system development - Create effective test objectives and comprehensive test plans, execute and evaluate detailed test scripts and results, resolve testing incidents and document all results. - Provide guidance to junior team members in the development of effective test scripts and conditions.Release management :- Establish and ensure adherence to testing standards and procedures, regression scripts and overall production system integrity. - May provide a coordination point for all testing activities across development projects and support groups for an application release. Mentor to testing leads on development projects and technical support personnel.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :Education :Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.Experience :- 8+ years of progressive work-related experience in business systems analysis across multiple business processes and/or business unit experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of systems with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple discipline/processes related to the position. - Typically leads/mentors less experienced staff or complex projects in area of expertise.Technical Skills and Knowledge :- Demonstrated knowledge of assigned applications and demonstrated understanding of the organizations business systems and processes- Demonstrated ability to understand technical problems and solutions in relation to current as well as future business environments.- Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining technical information to clients, vendors, senior management and staffSpecialized Technical skills :May require demonstrated experience in one or more of the following :- ERP PeopleSoft Financials 9.2- Peopletools- SQL Developer- App Designer- PeopleSoft modules - GL, AR, BI, AP, PurchasingACCOUNTABILITY :Number of employees supervised : Direct : 0 Indirect : 0Annual operating and/or payroll budget(s) :Decision making responsibilities (Key Decision Rights) :- This position has impact on developing recommending and approving processes and software solutions and creates strategies for implementation and deployment.- Decisions made by this position can impact the organization fiscally through process efficiencies, systems integrity and support costs.- This position manages and coordinates small to mid-scale initiatives to successful completion including- adhering to internal project template- project phase approvals by project sponsor- adhering to project deliverables- managing project scope changes- managing to project budget and time constraints- This position has significant impact for assigned IT development projects in identifying technical and application solutions and risk factors.- This position has moderate impact on the company's ability to achieve revenue and cost targets as influenced by information technology.- This position also has moderate impact on resource allocation, project costs, schedule and quality levels for assigned area.4. CONTACTS (Key Relationships) :Internal Key Relationships :This position will work closely with client management (including hotels), development teams, support teams (including deployment operations, training, and HSS), Central Shared Services Resources, IT management to discuss projects, provide recommendations on improvement opportunities and operating and financial performance as well as resource constraints, issues impacting project progress, technical designs.External Key Relationships :- Key vendors, and third-party interface providers; as well as professional associations, industry experts to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards5.
