We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable platform infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our growing product and customer needs.Key Responsibilities:Platform Development:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure.- Implement best practices for system architecture and ensure high availability.- Develop tools and services to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.System Integration:- Integrate various systems and services to create a seamless platform experience.- Work closely with software development teams to integrate new features and services into the platform.Performance Optimization:- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.- Implement performance testing and benchmarking strategies.- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the system.Automation and CI/CD:- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.Security:- Implement and maintain security best practices across the platform.- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.Monitoring and Logging:- Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions.- Ensure effective incident detection and response processes.Collaboration:- Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.Documentation and Mentorship:- Create and maintain technical documentation for platform infrastructure and services.- Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.Required Qualifications:Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.- Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.- Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies.- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.Soft Skills:- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. || Location: Bangalore (ref:hirist.tech)
