Description:

As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to design, develop, and implement automated test frameworks and strategies. Your efforts will help us deliver high-quality software that meets our customers' needs and exceeds their expectations.Key Responsibilities : Test Automation Development : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or similar.- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by automating functional, regression, and performance tests.- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.Test Planning and Execution : - Work with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design test plans that cover all possible scenarios.- Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects with detailed documentation.- Perform root cause analysis for issues and work with development teams to resolve them.Quality Assurance Best Practices : - Implement and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance within the team.- Continuously improve test processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our testing practices up to date.Collaboration and Communication : - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables.- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality and testability of code.- Communicate test results, progress, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.- 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation.- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI).- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.Job Location : Bangalore (ref:hirist.tech)
