We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our critical database infrastructure.Minimum Requirements :- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Database Administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery.- Proven experience in analyzing and designing business systems, understanding data flow and user needs.- Experience working in a production environment, administering databases on live servers and ensuring high availability.- Experience with data analytics concepts and tools for extracting insights from databases.- Familiarity with Azure Database Administration for managing cloud-based SQL databases.- Experience with data warehouse design, implementation, and management.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.- A commitment to providing high-quality and professional customer service, ensuring user satisfaction with database services.Technical Skills :- Microsoft SQL Server (all editions), with in-depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.- Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for querying, scripting, and database object manipulation.- Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization techniques.- Familiarity with database security best practices and user access control.- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation for SQL Server databases.- Experience with version control systems like Git for managing database code and scripts.Desired Skills :- Experience with Power BI administration and configuration for data visualization.- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure for deploying and managing databases.- Knowledge of database migration techniques (on-premises to cloud, etc.).- Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell).- Familiarity with data encryption and security standards (e.g. HIPAA, PCI DSS).Responsibilities :- Manage all aspects of the SQL Server environment, including installation, configuration, performance optimization, security, and backups.- Analyze business requirements and design efficient database structures to support business needs.- Work with developers and business analysts to understand data models and ensure data integrity.- Implement and maintain high availability solutions for SQL Server databases.- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime in case of emergencies.- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.- Secure databases by implementing user access controls, encryption, and other best practices.- Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages and tools.- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems.- Provide technical support to users and resolve database-related issues.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SQL Server technologies and best practices.
