Job Description:We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Developer with 8-10 years of experience to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in SQL development, database administration, and policy creation. This role requires immediate joiners who can make an immediate impact on our ongoing projects. The position is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.Responsibilities:SQL Development:- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.- Develop and implement SQL scripts to support data manipulation and reporting requirements.- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of SQL databases.Database Administration:- Perform database administration tasks including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of database systems.- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.- Conduct regular backups and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.Policy Creation and Implementation:- Develop and enforce database policies and procedures to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of databases.- Create and maintain user access policies and roles to control access to database resources.- Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.Maintenance and Support:- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.- Perform regular database health checks and implement necessary optimizations.Collaboration:- Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure best practices are followed.Documentation:- Document database designs, configurations, processes, and policies.- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for all SQL-related activities and procedures.Required Qualifications:Experience:- 8-10 years of extensive experience in SQL development and database administration.- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing SQL databases.Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in SQL programming and performance tuning.- Experience with database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, and maintenance.- Knowledge of database security policies, user access management, and data protection regulations. - Familiarity with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.Analytical Skills:- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Ability to analyze complex data requirements and develop effective technical solutions.Soft Skills :- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications :- Experience with cloud-based database solutions and services.- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
