We are urgently hiring for our client for the position of Staff Engineer - Data Engineering. Location : Anywhere in India.Np : max 30 days.What you'll do : As the Staff Engineer of the data engineering team, you will be entrusted with the delivery of scalable services that empower our customers to maximize return on brand outreach and recruitment. Staff Data Engineering role will be critical to help drive analysis, data science, and reporting across many diverse data sets to make sure we deliver impact from our data products and services. The team is responsible for real time analytics and reporting for executive-level insights down to granular recruiter analysis. In this role you will be responsible for technical projects or programs, working closely with product managers, engineers and technical staff to develop and track release milestones and schedules for the many moving parts across our suite of products.Core technologies : Kafka, AWS Glue, snowflake, Terraform, Debezium with experience in product based companies.Skills : Kafka, AWS Glue, TYpescript, Snowflake, Terraform, Debezium, DB design, Datawarehouse, data lake , data processing, ETL, Postgres, informatica, BI tools etc .Your responsibilities will include :- Design, architect, and develop code in a testable, scalable, and performant manner.- Work closely with Product Managers, Cross Product Engineers and Data Engineers to optimize and deliver innovative solutions.- Build a team that mines, analyzes, and transforms large [un]structured datasets, collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and business users to create actionable metrics and datasets that solve business questions.- Develop a plan and schedule with well-defined milestones.- Digging in alongside the team in a crunch scenario or to solve a critical issue.- Manage and facilitate technical design discussions, contribute significant verbal and written contributions, and help your team overcome hurdles.- Work with team to develop automated testing protocols and deploy tests with every release.- Utilize an agile approach to process and structure.- Foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies our team values.- Provide expertise in query building and data modeling to ensure data is made available in a timely, efficient, and comprehendible means.- Partner with our other teams to ensure documentation, privacy, and best in class coding practices are implemented within Analytical engineering.- Act as SME for specific data domains by enabling analytical data sets for internal ad-hoc analysis Engage with key stakeholders in the business, product and software teams to clearly understand and scope analytical requests.- Enable the team to expand its impact, by improving delivery mechanisms and working closely with the data, product and growth organizations to increase the value we can bring to our customers. What you will bring : - Software design and development experience with a background in Data Engineering.- BE or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.- Deep understanding of data modeling, SQL, data warehouses / data lake and data engineering skills, and a passion to share that with a team.- Ability to provide technical leadership throughout the design and delivery process, bringing perspective and motivating engineers to develop simple, pragmatic solutions to complex problems.- Knowledge of software and data engineering best practices including testing, quality, and security.- Passion for developing early career talent who will become the next leaders in the organization, enabling the individuals and the team to work with autonomy.- Extensive background and demonstrated track record in building end user-facing analytical models in SQL.- Hands-on SQL experience in aspects of data engineering and operations, including data ingestion, delivery, and operations.- Help define the strategy and standards for analytical engineering.- Experience defining testing and data quality programs.- Expertise in query building and data modeling to ensure data is made available in a timely, efficient, and comprehendible means.- Experience with tools such as Python, Airflow, Data Lakes, Terraform, APM tooling and BI tooling - (e.g Tableau, PowerBI).- Develop/source tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.- Strong Python experience, REST APIs, MySQL.- Strong, proven mentorship skills demonstrate the ability to motivate, develop, and guide Data Engineers.- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.- Experience with AWS and Snowflake is required.- Recruiting industry experience, such as working experiences with Taleo, Workday, SuccessFactors is a plus.- Excellent communication skills.
