Description:
Key Responsibilities :Primary Responsibilities :- Manage and maintain Hitachi Storage systems including VSP, USP, and USP-VM.- Monitor and optimize storage performance to ensure high availability and reliability.- Configure and manage Brocade and Cisco SAN switches to support storage infrastructure.- Administer and support UCP, HICS, and HTSM environments.Secondary Responsibilities :- Manage and support Hitachi Object Storage (HCP) solutions.- Administer VMware environments, including vCenter, NDM, and UVM.- Implement and maintain backup solutions using Commvault and Veeam.- Configure and manage replication technologies such as ShadowImage, TrueCopy, and HUR.- Support network infrastructure related to storage operations.- Perform Linux system administration tasks related to storage environments.Operational Duties :- Monitor storage infrastructure for performance, capacity, and availability.- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patching of storage systems.- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues promptly.- Ensure data integrity and security across all storage solutions.- Develop and maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and policies.Collaboration and Support :- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage solutions with other systems.- Provide support and guidance to junior team members and other staff regarding storage operations.- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to storage-related incidents as required.Qualifications :Education :- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience :- Minimum of 6 years of experience in storage operations or a related field.- Extensive experience with Hitachi Storage systems (VSP, USP, USP-VM).- Proven experience in managing SAN switches (Brocade and Cisco).Technical Skills :- Strong understanding of storage performance monitoring and optimization.- Experience with Hitachi Object Storage (HCP).- Proficiency in VMware administration (vCenter, NDM, UVM).- Knowledge of backup solutions (Commvault and Veeam).- Experience with replication technologies (ShadowImage, TrueCopy, HUR).- Solid understanding of network infrastructure related to storage.- Proficiency in Linux system administration.
