Job Description :Senior Database Engineer will be responsible for the logical design and physical implementation of the database for various projects and products. At a high level, duties will include :1. Consult with internal and external organizations and clients to analyze and understand the product vision, objectives, success criteria, requirements, and desired features.2. Work with the business team to define, analyze and understand business, functional, and technical requirements. 3. Assist application development teams in designing new database solutions that meet the organization's data storage needs.4. Writing new programs and/or scripts to support new application functionality, improve performance and/or increase storage capacity5. Maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.6. Adhering to best practices in securely storing, backing up, and archiving data.7. Performing debugging procedures on database scripts and programs, as well as resolving conflicts.8. Conduct Technical Impact analysis to mitigate the risks.9. Mentoring database administrators on application database design and providing them with technical support.10. Produce and review product design for compliance with software requirements, design principles, coding standards, and related specifications. 11. Must have the ability to convert requirements, designs and other technical specifications into code12. Perform unit and integration testing that ensures that all requirements are verified.13. Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.14. Work with project management to define milestones, manage issues and risksEssential Requirements :The ideal candidate will have :1. BE/ B. Tech/BSc/M. Sc. / BS/ MS/ME/M. Tech/Ph. D in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field 2. Experience working with the Oracle database.3. Proficient with SQL/PL SQL development including performance tuning. 4. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.5. Motivated team player willing to do whatever it takes to make the team successful.6. Self-starter with commitment to professional growth.7. Strong verbal and written English Communication skills.Desirable Skills :1. Knowledge of Telecom Configuration Management systems.2. Knowledge of Core Java development a plus.3.
