Description:
As a Wintel Administrator, you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of our Windows-based server infrastructure.- You will collaborate with various teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of our systems. Job Description :- Manage and maintain the Windows server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and administration of Windows Server operating systems.- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of servers and applications.- Implement and maintain server security policies, including user access controls, firewall configurations, and antivirus software.- Perform regular system backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.- Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and service packs to keep the infrastructure up to date.- Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement server infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving escalated issues in a timely manner.- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient maintenance and troubleshooting.- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Windows server administration.- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity. Skills & Requirements :1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2. Proven experience as a Wintel Administrator or similar role, managing Windows-based server environments. 3. In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS. 4. Proficiency in server virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V. 5. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and LAN/WAN. 6. Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions. 7.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) for automation and task automation. 8. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. 9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 10. Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSE, MCSA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus. (ref:hirist.tech)
