Role : Wireless Network EngineerLocation : Bangalore (WFO)Experience : 7+ yearsNotice Period : Immediate to 15 daysResponsibilities :- Design, implement, and maintain robust wireless networks, integrating Ethernet, Wi-Fi features, Zigbee radio, and other connectivity functions for seamless operations.- Analyze network requirements and propose solutions to optimize wireless infrastructure for coverage, capacity, and performance.- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Zigbee connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless networks with existing systems, ensuring compatibility.- Test and validate wireless network configurations to address vulnerabilities and performance issues.- Stay updated on emerging wireless networking technologies and recommend enhancements for efficiency.- Develop documentation including network diagrams and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing.- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members for continuous learning.- Coordinate with vendors to procure wireless networking equipment, ensuring compliance and budget adherence.- Participate in on-call rotation to address critical network issues outside regular hours.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Wireless Network Engineer or similar role, with expertise in designing and implementing complex wireless networks.- In-depth knowledge of Ethernet and Wi-Fi features, Zigbee radio, and other connectivity functions.- Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and DNS.- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade networking equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner.- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
