Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, vector databases, and time series databases. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, expertise in database design, and the ability to optimize and tune database performance.Key Responsibilities :- Design, implement, and maintain backend systems using SQL and NoSQL databases.- Develop and manage vector and time series databases to handle specific application needs.- Optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and caching strategies.- Collaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient database solutions.- Analyze and resolve complex database issues, ensuring data integrity and security.- Develop and enforce database standards, best practices, and security measures.- Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for backend systems.- Stay updated with the latest database, AI technologies and industry trends, implementing new technologies and processes as needed.Required Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Advanced degrees are a plus.- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with a focus on database management.- Extensive experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).- Proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).- Expertise in time series databases (e.g., TimescaleDB, InfluxDB).- Experience with in-memory databases (e.g., Redis, Memcached).- Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modelling.- Proficiency to create manage REST APIS using Express JS or equivalent.- Proven track record of solving complex queries and performance tuning.- Familiarity with backend programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js or Go.- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.- Proficient in ETL process manually and automation using Python or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications :- Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Elasticsearch, Faiss, Weaviate).- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions (e.g. , Amazon Redshift, Delta Lake).- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
